Myst Online will be resurrected after its recent reacquisition by its original developers, Cyan Worlds, from GameTap, who who purchased Uru Live in 2006 and ceased support of the game in April 2008. Uru Live was initially the massively multiplayer online component of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst and published by Ubisoft until it was handed over to GameTap. The new Myst Online has been given the name Myst Online: Restoration Experiment or “MORE” and will provide users with tools required for the community to develop content for future ages and episodes of the game.
Free to download and play, Aeronauts is a persistent online multiplayer quasi-steampunk aerial combat action game that’s currently in closed beta testing and will be officially launching this September internationally. After completing the tutorial and advancing a few levels, players will be able to battle each other in 3v3 dog fights and gain access to more features, weapons and abilities as they develop their characters.
GamesCampus has launched the closed beta for Square Enix’s Concerto Gate, which will last until July 14th, and is the first time the MMORPG has been made available to American audiences. Concerto Gate is the sequel to Cross Gate, first released in Japan in 2001. The game features an innovate featured called “terra generating” that gives players the ability to influence the environment’s topography, such as shaping mountains and affecting the eco-system. The combat system is a combination of real-time and turn-based elements.
Jagex Ltd. released the latest graphical update for the massively multiplayer online roleplaying game, RuneScape, today along with a new and improved look for the official site. RuneScape High Detail significantly enhances the game’s visuals and for the first time, allows players to play the game in full-screen mode through their browsers. It will only be available for subscribers during its beta stage, but all users will be able to experience it as soon as beta is complete.
In addition, the website was entirely revamped, which it was in need of for a very long time as it was suffering from 90’s syndrome.
