FunFun Arcade

Lizard Interactive has launched its free online games portal, NeoFun, with two free MMORPGs (Sho Online and Cronous) and a casual game called FunFun Arcade. FunFun Arcade is standalone online multiplayer party-style game where you can win Cash Points by competing with other players in a myriad of minigames which tests your mental abilities and hand-eye coordination. The premise is similar to games like Mario Party and Fusion Frenzy. Cash Points can be used to buy premium items in Sho Online and Cronous which you’d otherwise have to purchase with real money. FunFun Arcade will be updated with new games and features regularly.

IAC’s new virtual world, Green, has opened its doors to the public with its recent transition to beta. Green is a casual social portal developed by a group of environmentally and socially conscious people that lets users interact in a Flash-based virtual world with customizable avatars and personal spaces. The game uses photographic images as backdrops in a 2D sidescrolling environment and is targeted mostly at youngsters to provide them with a fun educational medium on the ecology, nature and conservation, while socially networking with like-minded individuals.

Green Naturia

Green’s partnerships with Defenders of Wildlife, Greenhouse Scholars, The Nature Conservancy, PlayPumps International, Project Explorer, Right To Play USA, and Save the Children lets kids enjoy exclusive videos, games and other content from positive organizations. The game is currently free and will remain free after its official launch but premium content can be accessed with a subscription. The Sims Carnival is a custom games community where any registered user can play and create their own games using a number of tools available on the website, then share them with other users. If the free tools don’t suit you rneeds, you can also submit your own unique game made with Adobe Flash.

The website has been in closed beta since February 2008 with 25% of its participants having designed and uploaded their own game developed with the game creation Wizard, Swapper and Game Creator client. The Wizard is the most simple method with its step-by-step process, but is the most limited. The Swapper lets you to tweak existing games with your own images and such, while the Game Creator allows the most freedom and customization options.

Fuel Industries has recently launched an online arcade games portal targeted towards adolescent females ages 7 and up at AllGirlArcade.com. The site is based on a new storyline called the All Girl Star Squad, a fictional trio of girl gamers who attempt to stop creatures from outer space from enslaving the universe, and offers pre-teen girls a casual gaming environment to get more young females interested in video games. An MMO is being planned for All Girl Arcade as well, which will be appearing this fall.

Gamejam, an online game company, has officially launched Supreme Boxing after a period of beta testing where over 8k players participated. Supreme Boxing is an online multiplayer boxing strategy game that’s played via web-browser with the ability to create your own boxer or stable of boxers who compete against others in various weight classes, divisions, regions and events around the world while building reputation, winning titles and gaining fame and fortune. Players can develop their boxers’ skills by training and joining boxing clubs to improve their attributes and move up in rankings.
