Red Stone Selected to be in World Cyber Games 2008

K2 Network announced today that their 2D MMORPG was the only MMO to be selected for players to compete in at World Cyber Games 2008. Red Stone is a 2D fantasy MMORPG with some interesting and unique systems and features. The U.S. version is currently being hosted at Gamers First.
Although based on a fantasy theme, Red Stone doesn’t utilize a mana or magic point (MP) system to use special abilities and spells. Instead, a charge point (CP) system is utilized, whereby CPs are increased after each successful hit. The speed at which your character is moving effects how much CPs are spent, but they can also be gained from other special bonuses.

There are eight classes you can choose from, which all have secondary class transformations separate from the original eight classes. For instance, an archer can transform into a lancer and fight with a pole-arm if enemies get too close for comfort.
This creates for a dyanamic and engaging combat experience, which is a positive deviation from the conventional combat system in typical MMORPGs.
“We are thrilled that Redstone was selected to participate in such a prestigious event. With its robust international community Redstone is a perfect fit for the World Cyber Games and we wish all the participants the best of luck.” - K2 Network’s Joon Woo Kim, Associate Producer of Red Stone.
