3 Lives Left, a Denmark-based video game development company, was recently awarded $125,000 in grant money from the the New Danish Screen at the Nordic Game Conference, which took place in Sweden. The grant comes from a pool of capital that’s used to help fund the development and production of various media projects and concepts.

The money will be used to develop an online multiplayer tactical RPG called The Ark. The game’s setting has players battling it out in a post-apocalyptic underground civilization with physically deformed characters, using genetic mutations, represented by kiddy-macabre visuals. The underground city was established to ensure the survival of life on Earth during World War III. The world is persistent, but combat actually takes place in instances, so it most likely won’t be a true MMO.
