Wild West Online: Gunfighter Open Beta

A F2P (free to play) turn-based strategy game with some RPG elements, Wild West Online: Gunfighter has recently been made available for public testing. A new patch was just released yesterday, introducing new updates and features. The game is still relatively new and unheard of, so you can be one of the first to experience the game while developing your character, earning money, items and experience points to further customize your abilities.

From what I understand, the current game is actually the pre-release version of the combat system for a much more elaborate MMO. Here’s a quote on the forums from Gary Cooper, the game’s designer:

“While the Gunfighter mini-game is (currently) 1v1, the full MMO will be much more like what you guys have experience with. The skills you learn as a gunfighter will translate into powerful abilities when you’re out adventuring with Hunters, Scouts, Doctors, and other play types. But when two gunfighters meet and throw down, their mini-game skills will come into effect for a special kind of combat that only gunfighters have. We hope that when two gunfighters meet in a town, all the other players will stop to watch the showdown.

We’re releasing this for two reasons, one is because we need the income to help us develop the MMO and two is because we think it’s a pretty fun game on its own”

    Greetings Juegos =)

The game actually is online multiplayer. The only problem is that there aren’t that many players right now to play with.
